Robert Lau’s office was partially burnt this morning and his father believed it was foul play.
The three storey building in Lanang Road was used for offices, residential area while the back portion was for the workers.
His father, Lau Swee Nguong who is the Chairman of KTS and Hua Seng group said he rushed back at 9 am to find the quarters burned. Part of the office on the ground floor was also burned.
Firemen arrived at 9.09 and controlled the fire at 10.11 am.
However, Sibu OCPD ACP Shafie Ismail said it was too early to classify it as arson as they were investigating the case.
