Opposition's Demand for Taib to quit politics : Why don't they ask Lim Kit Siang, Karpal Singh, Nik Aziz, Hadi Awang and Anwar Ibrahim to quit politics too?

30 years is enough for Anwar Ibrahim!!

When Assistant Minister (Islam Affairs) in the Chief Minister's Department, Datuk Haji Daud Abdul Rahman recently described Opposition's Demand for Chief Minister to quit politics as absurd, I absolutely agree with him.

Component parties in Pakatan Rakyat appear not to practise the spirit of democrary. They do not respect the wish of the majority of the people of Sarawak in particular who elected State Barisan Nasional led by Chief Minister, Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud to return to power in 2006 state election.

The opposition has claimed that a period of 30 years is enough. The period they (opposition) refer in this respect is the duration of Pehin Sri Abdul Taib's tenure of office as Chief Minister.

If the majority of the people in Sarawak still want the Chief Minister to be around what type of democracy the opposition is practising and talking about?

In democracy should the voice of democracy prevail over  the majority?

The opposition members are playing the issue that Pehin Sri Abdul Taib's 30 years as Chief Minister as too long.

In this respect the opposition component parties seem to point one fingers to Barisan Nasional yet they do not remember another four finger are pointing at them selves (opposition).

The opposition should use a mirror to look at themselves before accusing other people of having black faces.

The DAP, for example, appears to forget that its leaders Lim Kit Siang, aged 70, won Kota Tinggi seat in 1969. He has been in politics for 42 years.

Its Chairman, Karpal Singh, aged 71, won Alor Setar seat in 1974. He has been in politics for 37 years.

Menteri Besar Kelantan, Datuk Nik Aziz of PAS, aged 80, won Pangkalan Chepa seat in 1967. He has been in politics for 44 years.

Another PAS leaders, Hadi Awang, aged 64, elected in Marang state in 1982 and has been in politics for 29 years.

How about Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim?

Well Anwar Ibrahim won Permatang Pauh seat in 1981. This person, who still has a pending court case, has been in politics for 30 years.

Now after reading the above facts, unless the opposition have other facts to the contrary, they (opposition) are just like crab which teaches its siblings to walk straight yet itself move crookedly.

Why don't they ask Lim Kit Siang, Karpal Singh, Nik Aziz, Hadi Awang and Anwar Ibrahim to quit politics?
